Hopedale Community Nursery SchoolSince 1972, the parents and staff of Hopedale Community Nursery School have offered a safe, fun cooperative community where children can learn and grow at their own pace through play.
At Hopedale, our teachers are hands on! As role-models, the teachers enthusiastically join the children, offering examples of how to use props to learn and interact. Each day, children enjoy some fresh air in the large, grassy outdoor play yard allowing them an opportunity to develop gross motor skills. And with a wealth of educational resources, the teachers are dedicated to delivering bi-weekly themes which enhance the learning environment and help engage young, active minds.

Morning Preschool Programs (2 ½ & 3 years) offer a hands-on teaching philosophy fostering confidence and strengthening socialization skills through role-play and leadership. The program uses crafts, puzzles, props and songs to provide stimulating activities. Low child:adult ratio is an invaluable way to introduce your child to a preschool setting. Parent involvement provides an opportunity to see your child establish peer relationships and experience his or her early learning years hands-on.

Afternoon classes (JK/SK) offer a Full-time Kindergarten Alternative or Enrichment with science experiments and a strong focus on math and literacy. Low student:teacher ratio, ensures students receive one-on-one coaching, allowing them to learn and progress at their own skill level. Learning in a low ratio classroom with a variety of educational resources fosters confidence and problem solving. This program does not require parent participation.
