Oakvillegreen Conservation Association will be hosting a community-wide All Candidates Meeting on Tuesday, October 12 at the Galaxy 707 Hall located at 475 North Service Road East.

All candidates for school board trustee, Local and Regional Council, Mayor and Regional Chair are invited to attend this event that will give citizens a chance to meet everyone who is running for election in one place. and also to hear a question and answer between Mayoral, and between Regional Chair, candidates. The question and answer period will not focus on environmental issues but will run the gamut of concerns pertaining to our community.

The event will be the conducted the same way it was when the OCA hosted an All Candidates Event prior to the last municipal election: each candidate will be given a small table to display their election materials; school board trustee candidates will be grouped together, Council candidates will be grouped together by ward, Mayoral candidates will be situated near each other as will Regional Chair candidates. This makes it easy for citizens to identify and speak with all the candidates for their ward/school board.

The All Candidates Event will begin at 6 p.m. The Mayoral question and answer will begin at 8 p.m. with the Regional Chair question and answer to follow.

Citizens will be encouraged to write down questions for the Mayoral and Regional Chair candidates and place them in a box. Questions will be selected from the box, by the moderator, for the candidates to answer.  Time limits will be placed on the answers.
