LADIES NIGHT OUT NEXT LADIES NIGHT IS TUESDAY, MAY 4th A record
number (55) ladies attended the Christmas dinner held at St. Aidan's hall on December 16. This year we encouraged toy and
food donations for the needy. As you can see from the pictures below, the response was overwhelming. Fantastico Pizza on Kerr
Street supplied a variety of delicious pizzas along with chicken wings and Caesar salad. Fantastico owner Karl even dropped
off two toys to put under the tree.
Barb Stewart got a group of ladies together a couple weeks
before the dinner to learn a Christmas Deck the Halls Belly Dance. They were fantastic to say the least, all dressed
in black with Santa hats on. We sure do have fun at the dinners!
COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CAROLING AT ST.
AIDAN'S AN ANNUAL POPULAR EVENT - FULL HOUSE

The group pictured below, with others on the sidelines (ie:
letters from Ann Mulvale and the WRRA) were instrumental in submitting St. Aidan's application to the Trillium Foundation
to obtain a grant so that renovations to the church can proceed. Reverend Cheryl Fricker didn't get her hopes up too high
as she was informed that with luck a very small monetary donation could be awarded (maybe $10,000.00) Well, on Christmas Caroling
evening it was announced that a $130,000 grant was received and it gives the WRRA great pleasure to let the community know
that many upgrades will be done at the 60 year old church to further benefit the community. St. Aidan's is a place of worship
and pastorial services but also is a fabulous Community Centre for many WRRA dances/meetings/dinners etc. Congratulations St. Aidan's!!!

What a wonderful day we had for our Annual Picnic at Forster Park on June 13. Our very
special volunteers are the key to its success - we could not have done it without you all. Many of our mature teen volunteers
this year were children participants just a few years ago. We also had help from The Kerr Street Ministries with about
a dozen super friendly teens. All supplies/toys/food/permits, etc. are offset by money made at the Raffle
Table/Hot dog sales/Popcorn etc.
| The NUTTY PROFESSOR is a regular event guest |

WRRA resident Sharon Williams donated a chestnut tree which was planted beside the bench at the Shepherd Road bridge.
It has bloom beautiful pink chestnut blossoms.
