The town has received questions regarding pet grooming services being allowed under the Province’s stay-at-home and shutdown orders in Oakville. Below is the Town’s response:
The Town has not instructed groomers to close. Like other municipalities, we have considered nail trimming and removing matted hair as part of essential animal care.
Often veterinarians will cut nails but don’t provide grooming services. Many people either don’t have the skills and/or equipment to groom a dog, creating the necessity for a grooming business under animal welfare. The groomers must follow curbside pick up regulations.
