ClubLink, which owns the Glen Abbey golf course, withdrew its application on July 9 to develop a high-density residential development on the site.
The announcement ends, for now, the long battle to save the green space and iconic golf course. The Town of Oakville and Save Glen Abbey have been fighting the development for six years and the campaign was joined this year by WeLoveOakville and Oakville Green, along with a number of local resident associations, including the WRRA.
