Save the Date - The WRRA Summer Picnic is on June 17

The annual WRRA Summer Picnic will take place this year on June 17!!! Just a reminder this is a CASH-ONLY event.


The picnic returns to Forster Park on Saturday June 17th, 11am - 3pm. Bring the whole family and join us for kids games, bake sale, dunk tank, raffle prizes, live music, book swap, hot dogs and more! There will also be a real firetruck and police car for kids to explore!


Please RSVP so that we can plan accordingly:



The picnic is free for everyone to attend. Some activities, such as the bake sale and hot dogs, require a fee. This is a cash-only event.



 
Help make the picnic a great success!

We are always looking for help from the community to make the picnic a great success. All proceeds from the picnic go directly into future community events. Here are a few ways that you can help:


  • Raffle Table - We are looking for support from the community to make a personal donation to our raffle table. The funds we make from this table go directly back to helping fund next year's picnic.

Things you can donate to the raffle table:

- Tickets (Sports, Theater etc.)

- Things for kids (Gift Basket, toys (New), jerseys)

- Baskets of any kind (Picnic inspired, party items, cleaning supplies, night out etc.)

- Gift cards

- Services

  • Home-baked or store-bought baked goods - We need baked goods for the bake sale. Baked goods can be dropped off all day Friday June 16th at 16 Kingswood Road.

  • Book Exchange Table - New this year we are introducing a book exchange table. This is an opportunity for you to bring your gently used books and exchange them for new ones. Bring your books to the picnic on June 17.


 

Here is a breakdown of the cost of picnic things: 1. BBQ

  • $2 for a Hot Dog or Pizza Slice

  • $1 for a Pop/Juice box

  • Popcorn FREE

2. Fish Pond

  • $1 per play

3. Bake Sale

  • Items range from $2 to $5 each

4. Raffle Table

  • $2 per ticket

  • 3 for $5

  • 10 for $10

All other events at the BBQ are completely free for you to enjoy!
