St. Aidan's Church: All Are Welcome

St. Aidan’s Church

318 Queen Mary Dr.

All Are Welcome - this is part of the vision of St. Aidan’s, to be a place of sanctuary, of safe space, for every person. It is in this spirit that we invite you to a virtual gathering. We’re here, even virtually, to connect with. The people are friendly and welcoming, the music is beautiful.

We are practising physical distancing, as a way to “love our neighbours as ourselves,” in the universal language of respect for the dignity of every person.

As we practise this physical distancing - we don’t need to be ‘socially distanced’ - we need to connect. Many are feeling disconnected from others during these times of isolating, and isolation.

Please accept this invitation to attend a gathering on zoom, and of course in person when we get back into the building. Our zoom times are Thursdays at 1:00 p.m., and Sundays at 10:30 a.m., for saying ‘hi’, service begins at 11:00. If you are interested, curious, or in any way wanting to ‘try us out’ contact Fran at rector@saintaidans.ca, or 905.407.3772

Some of the comments from those who’ve been drawn to St. Aidan’s -

“I found what I was looking for at St. Aidan’s. Caring, compassionate people who love one another and their neighbour as Jesus taught us to. I found a commitment to do what is right and just or all.”

“In 2004 I got a promotion in Whole Foods that brought me back to Canada. Their first Canadian store was in Yorkville but a new one was planned for Oakville, so this was where I found a new home. I knew absolutely no one in town. The work was stressful and when I asked the lake what I should do, it said, “Sing!” Immediately I thought, “Well, Anglicans sing everything and there’s a church just blocks away.” So I went and sang and was glad... for much more than the singing. It is, you are the core of my Oakville life.”
